微软推出Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA)之后，电脑必须首先通过正版验证后才能从Windows Update下载安全更新。但大多数系统集成商并没有为用户激活验证工具，因此这些机器虽然都预先打好了补丁但都没有启用自动更新。

这款System Builder Bypass tool(sbbypass.exe) 将允许系统集成商在新PC上下载并安装关键更新，且无须激活或通过验证。不过只有微软OEM系统集成商网站会员才能下载这款工具。

System Builder Bypass tool用于协助系统集成商构建新PC，另外要求sysprep运行于工厂模式，需要Internet连接以下载关键更新。
